And with just a wave of the wand by the gnome wizard, the beautiful human warrior disappeared from sight in a cloud of smoke. When the smoke settled in her stead stood a huge creature, looking what a cow would look like if they could walk on two legs and roll a warrior. Two huge horns crested its skull, and with a mournful “Moooooo!” it waved goodbye to old friends and foes alike, and faded out on this plane of existence.
Two hours later the bovine creature clad in plate armor arrived on old familiar ground but in a new world. The view from Thunder Bluff was no less magnificent the last time he saw it, and with new vigor and determination he yelled “Tank LFG daily hc!”
So I finally made the call and turned my human warrior into a tauren, and shipped him off to my old server.
Of all the servers in the list of realms Sunstrider is the one closest to my heart. No matter what characters I roll on other servers, I always seem to come back to this one. This clearly shows that the company means everything. From now on I will not leave it and all my future alts will be here.
The process of changing faction was very smooth, it only took a couple of hours when it said it would take up to four days. Reputation, quests and achievements transferred nicely, but the fact that I had to start over with the Argent Tournament is really annoying. And by starting over I mean starting over completely. Learn to hit target dummies for a couple of days when I bested the best of the best on regular basis! Thankfully I saved up some tokens so I could complete at least one faction immediately.
The server transfer was also smooth, and only took a couple of hours when days where quoted.
That your saved raids are wiped clean is a nice bonus, but despite running both Onyxia 10 & 25 and Vault of Archavon 10 & 25 two times that week I still didn’t get anything. Yes, I was kind of annoyed.
But, ah, I’m once again in a raiding guild, and it feels so nice. Although we like to think ourselves as casual we are still successful. Cleared Trial of the Crusader and working on heroic mode. When Icecrown Citadel comes out we will hopefully be ready for it and hanging on the door knob. And hopefully that means that I will also be ready. Just yesterday I ran a ToC 10 with the guild and despite some wiping (my first time so I would lie if I said some of them wasn’t because of me) we cleared it all. It felt nice going from a scrub tanking PUGs on my old server to tanking Anub’arak with old friends. I’m doing content!
Also, I got a new tanking ring.
