I really need to get myself the epic flying mount. Or possibly improve my memory. Probably both.
I left Dalaran on my normal flying mount, which to my defense look exactly like the gryphon you use on flight paths. My destination was a mob just south of Dalaran for an Argent Tournament daily. It’s a slow mount so I tabbed out and read some blog posts, despite that the flight only takes a few minutes. Tabbed back and (this is where my brain crashed) saw that my “flight path” still hadn’t arrived. Arrived to where I don’t know, I just figured I was sitting on a damn automated gryphon on my way… somewhere.
I even got the achievement for exploring Grizzly Hills, and actually thought to myself “wow, I didn’t know you could do that on a flight path.” I almost wrote about it in guild chat, but I tabbed out again.
Went and did some tea, came back and noticed that I still wasn’t there yet. Damn, this was taking a long time. I still had no clue where I was going, but since I was sitting on an automated flight path I would get somewhere sometime.
Tabbed out and upon hearing the unmistakable sound of “low health”, tabbed back again.
There I was, flying over open sea, the fatigue meter slowly insanely fast killing me. And the realization that I was in fact sitting on my own flying mount hit me like a ton of brick in the face.
What is even worse is that upon death and respawning I turned up in Westfall! Resurrection sickness and 40 gold repair bill.
My brain is completely #¤$@.
